Creative Divine Studios

"Human Rising - A Current State of Affairs" is an art exhibition open to all Front Range artists for works of all media (hanging), as well as framed/mounted poetry and music. "Make a statement" about what is going on in our world through art, poetry and music that offer visual, verbal and musical commentary on and promotes deeper awareness and education of the growing issues visible in the media, such as #MeToo Movement to end Sexual Misconduct of both sexes, gender issues, gun violence, the current political atmosphere, and other issues that bridge sexes and cultures. 

The exhibition runs Friday, April 13th through Thursday, April 26th in the lower common area of Old Town Marketplace. 

Opening Reception/Potluck on First Friday, Friday, April 13, 2018. 6-9 pm. Please bring a dish to share. Beer and wine will be served. $10 donation requested. This is a fundraiser and proceeds will go to The Our Center of Longmont.

PARTICIPATION DETAILS

Visual Art/Poetry: There's room for about 22-25 pieces, no larger than 48" x 36." One piece per artist. All pieces must be wired to hang from metal grid panels. No sawtooth hangers. Poetry must be framed/mounted and wired. We ask that pieces remain up for the entire exhibition. If your piece is purchased, please advise your buyer they will receive their piece after the exhibition.

Artists/poets please RSVP to Myrrh at creativedivinestudios@gmail.com BY THURSDAY APRIL 5, so we can get the appropriate number of grids for the show. Provide your name, the name of your piece, dimensions, medium, if it is for sale, and price. If your piece is for sale, you are responsible for making the sale by connecting with buyers, etc. so include clear contact info so potential purchasers can reach you. Even better, include several business cards in a baggie attached to the back of your art (LHAG style). Your buyer can have their piece at the END of the exhibition. You are welcome to donate a portion of your sale to The Our Center, if you like.

Profanity or blatant nudity in paintings or poetry is not appropriate for this exhibition, as this is a public place and children are present at times. 

Art drop off to Myrrh in the common area at Old Town Marketplace Tuesday, April 10th and Wed, April, 11 between 3:30 -6:30 pm. Bring your business cards attached to the back of your piece. 

Art pick up on Friday, April 27 between 3-6 and Saturday, April 28 between 1-4 pm. Please do not tell your buyer to pick up their purchase during these days unless you plan to meet them at Old Town to give them their purchased art.

Also, Musicians if you have music that is supportive of the theme of this show that you wish to perform at the Second Friday Reception, please RSVP to Myrrh at creativedivinestudios@gmail.com by THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 2018. Let me know if you have your own sound equipment. Also poets wanting to share their submitted poetry as spoken word, please also let me know. Tip jars are welcome.
